Strongly Protest Against ABC's Rhetoric of Racial Discrimination
Diversity brings strength to the United States of America and Chinese Americans are proud of their contributions to this great country and strive to contribute even more in the future.
Recently the Chicago Chinese American community is deeply disturbed by Jimmy Kimmel’s "Kids Table" show on ABC, which aired a conversation about killing all the Chinese so that the United States do not have to pay back their debts to China. The program is totally unacceptable and we strongly demand that it must be removed.
In the October 30th press conference participated by major greater Chicago Chinese American associations, the participants reviewed the long history of suffering of Chinese Americans under adverse situations, especially the Chinese Exclusion Act. We can't let history repeat itself.
-We strongly protest against ABC's rhetoric of racial discrimination.
-We strongly demand the immediate resignation of Jimmy Kimmel.
- We strongly request a sincere apology from president of ABC or a senior executive on his/her behalf.
- We also strongly demand that ABC take appropriate measures to prevent the broadcasting of contents of racial discrimination.
Let's work together to move America forward, making our great country a shining example of diversity and inclusiveness.
